i have to make a voltage regulator using 16f877a micro controller so i need your help

just give more info about your project

Make use of the peripherals provided with the controller. For your application ADC would be sufficient. Check the value of ADC for change in voltage value.

what exactly are u lukin for.. do u wish to provide a regulated supply from controller.. or do u want to monitor the voltage of a system for regulation.. in the latter case ADC wud work but not in the former case. pls specify ur requirement

hi, kiyani i am shahid anwer from lahore i desighn ac avr,dc avr from pic 877,if u intrusted u contact me,0305-4715269

i have to sense the input voltage(fluctuating voltage) and then acoordingly manage to get constant output voltage with microcontroller

but first i have to sense the input voltage

i have to sense the input voltage(fluctuating voltage) and then acoordingly manage the auto transformers turn ratio by driving motor with microconroller to get constant output voltage and if it go above or below input voltage (150 to 250)range then it shut down the system

in simple word i have to make a stablizer

---------- Post added at 09:06 ---------- Previous post was at 09:04 ----------

u mean automatic voltege stabilizer or smps ?

yes stablizer but comparing input voltage with reference and driven of motor with microcontroller 16f877a

i am very gratefull to you shahid but first i will try myself it is starting not ending days of my project i want to learn something if i cannot manage in these 5 months then i will contact you but not now and again very very thanks shahid

i have to sense input voltage with some circuit and then pass it to microcontroller to compare wether it is in range(150 to 250)v or not then compare it with reference voltage 220v and then accordingly drive the motor to get constant output voltage

" accordingly drive the motor to get constant output voltage " u mean ( can say ) , u want sarvo stabilizer.

For sensing the input voltage make use of the comparator module in the controller & for the output go for the ADC module......

which motor is best for voltage regulator stepper or dc motors and why??????????

jerin can you tell me which motor is best for avr servo or stepper and if i use servo then can i control it with pic controller 16f877a???
i am waiting for your reply

What is your application mate? It varies with application. If it is for a normal purpose go for stepper motor or else for the other.
Regards,
Jerin.

you will get 230v servo motor for this application. you can drive the motor rotation by changing supply pin( my relay or TRIAC)

i am using this to control the turn ratios of autotransformer can i control this(servo motor) with pic 16f877a or
can car's windscreen wiper motor be controlled with pic??????

---------- Post added at 13:06 ---------- Previous post was at 13:05 ----------

can't understand this i want 12v motor not 230 v

it is a very simple process. you can fix for a volt (ADC Value) turn clockwise/anticlockwise regarding the ADC value till it reach your required value

here i am facing another problem that how i sense the voltage (sensing circuit) to tell controller that whether it is moving in clockwise or anti clock wise direction

PIC based automatic Voltage Stabiliser Using PIC16F877A
Here is the circuit of an automatic voltage stabiliser that can be adapted to any power rating. Its intelligence lies in the program
on PIC16F877A—a low-cost microcontroller that is readily available.
**broken link removed**

that depends on your hardware , normally clockwise increase output volt and anticlockwise reduce output volt,
