hi to all,
i have a question.
i know that: "alpha" is "attenuation constant" and "exp(-alpha*z)" is "attenuation coefficient".
but what is mean "damping rate" term in electromagnetic surface waves?and what is it's relation with "alpha"?
thanks.

I thought you should give some substantial information about the system. You have to restrict yourself to general considerations.Later give me few time can check,if the unwanted signal is still observed when replacing the "transducer" with an equivalent Alpha relation.......
