atmega programmer schematic

Hi,
Do you Have any Schematic for Programming AVR ATMEGA128.
I had Post One topic for this programmer before but i tried more than 5 schematics!
And none Of them Worked for ATMEGA128 and I don't Know Why .

If you Had Programmed ATMEGA128 Please Help Me :
a - How to Program ATMEGA128-H
b - The Programmer Hardware Schematics
c - The Pin Connections between ATMEGA128 IC and Programmer.
(I Prefer PIN Numbers to their Identification Eg. In ATMEGA128 PDF from Atmel
There are some conflicts Between MOSI and MISO Pins)
d - Which Pins Of ATMEGA128 Must be Connect to VCC ,or XTAL (if it is Needed),...
e - Power Supply and the Current that Programmer use.

Hi,

the serial programming of the ATMega 128 does not work with MOSI / MISO pins. U have to use PE0/PE1 instead. s. Site 303 in the datasheet.

You must feel terible dissapointed if start asking what it's the power supply and the current that programmer use. Most of the peoples that uses Atmega128 never think about it as long as they carry on succesfuly with the usual programming procedure, either in serial or high voltage programming.

As you probably know, the Atmel company developed an universal kit called STK500 and special extension board STK501 for Atmega128. These boards provides together a complete starter kit and development system for AVR micro.

You can find more about them at Atmel site:

STK500 user guide http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/doc1925.pdf

STK501 user guide (including schematics)
http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/DOC2491.PDF

Special for you I attached the STK500 schematics, missing from user guide.

Hope that clears your doubts regarding pin connections, power supply and xtal.
Your interest regarding power supply and current that programmer should use it's a proove that don't hesitate to dig inside documentation if you are in trouble.
Hope you have enough patience too.

Regards,
silvio

These are simple AVR programmers.

stk500 programmer schematic

Its good AVR programmer, as we can program AVR controller for AVR studio , so no additional software is required.
