I am using IC5141 and I have neither Assura nor Calibre installed. I am going to download one of these tools. Given a Cadence version, is there any rule in order to choose Assura or Calibre?

If I choose Assura, which are the steps to follow after installation? I know I should add some settings in my .tcshrc but I don't think that's all.
I have found other similar topics around the forum but none of them explains the complete procedure because the one who posted the topics had already experience.
Please, help!

HI Kicchan,

There is no difference. You can install any tool first.
(a) After installing ASSURA and QRC packages, you need to set you script to:

export QRC_HOME=/installation_path/EXT/
export ASSURAHOME=/installation_path/ASSURA
export PATH=$ASSURAHOME/bin:$ASSURAHOME/tools/bin:$PATH
export QRC_ENABLE_EXTRACTION=t

(b) After installing Calibre package, you need to add the following lines in your script:

export MGC_HOME=/installation_path/ixl_cal_xxxx/
export PATH=$MGC_HOME/bin:$PATH
export TECHDIR=/installation_path/design_kit/last_version/

Regards,

Thanks a lot for your help, palmeiras!!
