spw linux vmware

I have installed the SPW 4.8.1 for Linux in VmWare with rh7.2. The software works fine.
But when I installed it on the real linux, I can't see the characters in the menu of all windows and the texts in all dialogs in SPW. I can run it and the functions are ok. What's the reason? And what can I do?

BTW, my video card is not supported by Linux. So I use the frame buffer driver instead, and use "XF86_FBDev" as the XFree86 server.
 

Either you just answered your own problem, or you have a font substitution problem. Try to find out what font the tool needs and install it.

How can I find the font the tool need in Linux?

The problem is that SPW can run correctly with all fonts shown in VmWare.

The fonts I installed in VmWare linux are the same as the fonts installed in real linux.

Why it can run correctly in VmWare but not in the real linux?

Pls give me more help. Thank you!
