arc tangent a4

Someone knows of the exact instruction set used in the Arc Tangent RISC core like used in Fujitsu MPEG2 decoders?

Just need to compare the instructions and the arc-elf-gcc output.

i ever try it before but not work ... using HCARC from metaware is a solution. Did you want to port GNU tools inside it ???

ARC instruction set (i think for A4) is already supported in newer versions of GCC (3.3.x and so).

please check it out

Is still someone requesting this topic? I also know a little bit about the Fujitsu MPEG processor and currently I am trying to port ucLinux.

Not really since I never got any feedback from Fujitsu although NDA was filled out and sent to European headquarter...

Just dead-as-a-cow silence afterwards...

well since Codito nowadays provides the GNU toolchain for Arc Tangent a4 processors I compared the output to the Metaware compiler and I must say that they are really different, with the advantage at Metaware.

Did you had any project in mind when you posted your question in the past?

At the moment I try t o develop a ucLinux platform for DVB receivers using the Fujitsu MB86H20. The kernel is already running, a serial console and even the IDE driver for receivers with hard drive.

maybe we can share some experience.

Even local distributor suggested me to take everything else than Fujitsu since their support is non-existing here (o;
