Hi

I need to measure large sig s-param's of a device that will be operated in class C. What is a safe way to to this without destroying the S-param test set (in case of accidental oscillations) and still get accurate measurements?

Any help appreciated.

E

Hello E-design.
We had a similar discussion last week.
The link is the following:

Maybe my post can be usefull for you.
I still think the best way to get s-parammeters in large signal conditions is to use 2 couplers, one at the input and another at the outputs. Having couplings as low as 30dB should be enough to protect the instruments....
Check the link.
Greetings
S.
