Any suggestions for the best ARM7 toolset?

Might sound strange but I'd go for Greenhills MULTI.

Any known cr@ck for eval. version?

Go the triscend.com website
download SDK for A7
GNU compiler + armultor

I recommend find tools from 51soft.com, there are some tools from Metrowerks. I have downloaded it already and testing.

Hello !

Believe me - GHS Green Hills is far away the best debugger/compiler. You can get an eval version directly for their web site.

If somebody could c*** it please PM me !!

bye

I think its a matter of being used to work with something. I work with the ADSuite as a compiler and lauterbach jtag emulator and debugger and am very happy with these tools.
Especially the emulator-debugger is unbeatable although not so cheap.

It's in FM, or was.
I havre got it otherwise, just PM

As I know ARM ADS do not support Wiggler JTAG interface, in works with expensive Embedded ICE. M*ulti2000 + Wiggler works fine. C*ra*ck for Mu*lti was on FM1. Wiggler schematic reference you can search on electoda forums

The best compiler is ARM ADS following by METAWARE and green Hills. The worst of all is IAR who's begin on this platform.
For the JTAG emulator, the cheapest is McGraigor the best is certainly the MultiICE by ARM, but green Hills has a complete offer (compiler and emulator). For the chip, I suggest ATMEL with the AT91.

Anyone knows where to get a compiler and debugger with JTAG which works for SA1110 Strongarm ? preferably Cra@cked or free

Unfortunately, Srtong Arm do not support debugging via JTAG. In this chip JTAG assigned only for boundary scan and Intel provide Flash Loader software for loading a pragram image to flash. Debugging is possible only with non-JTAG interface. On Intel web site exist great number of tops, tools and appnotes http://www.intel.com/design/pca/applicationsprocessors/faq/sa1110faq.htm

Srong Arm project site **broken link removed**

I thought that one difference between the SA110 and the SA1110 was that the SA1110 support breakpoints via JTAG. I guess then some debugging must be possible.
but couldn`t find it eather, so I guess it`s not further developed.

I think ADS1.1 maybe the best one, because it was developed by ARM LTD.

go to : https://www.arm.com/devtools/ads_eval?OpenDocument
