I do not know how to plot E and H plane radiation pattern separately in hfssv11.....

I have searched internet and found that
(In proj. manager->radiation->farfield->infinite sphere->
vary phi from 0 to 90 deg, stepsize 90 and vary theta from 0 to 360 deg. step size 3 to 10.
Second Step:
After simulation, Go to Results->create farfield report->radiation report->In geometry select proper infinite sphere and other settings like rE or Gain in db.
E-plane corresponds to phi = 0deg
& H-plane corresponds to phi = 90 deg)

from this i am getting only one radiation pattern... i do not know whether its E plane or H plane radiation plane..
Also does radtion pattern depends upon the assigning of boundary conditions of antenna.??
Also radiation pattern should be sweep type or last adaptive in case of microstrip antenna.??
....plz help

First off all, no need to change the default infinite sphere settings. Plot a full 3D pattern so you know what to expect from 2D patterns. May be you get the same plot because the pattern is symmetrical.
To plot a single plane choose a phi value and sweep the theta values.

The H and E planes will depend on how you placed the antenna in your simulation. Try to learn more about the E and H planes from a book or google it.
Then you just need to know how a spherical coordinate system works. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spherical_coordinate_system You should know which direction is phi and theta.
