hi,

As I am a beginner and this is my first design(probe patch antenna) in Ansys HFSS simulator, I am facing a problem i.e an error(warning is created will "checking all" . the error is in "boundary and excitation" part (to surfaces are overlapping ) .

I am attaching a rar file(probepatch.rar) which contains the design and result part .

help me guys .

Thank you

Welcome rohitpintusurya,

While I only have HFSS 13, it appears that you've assigned the radiation boundary to all sides of your vacuum box - including the bottom face to which you've also applied a PEC boundary. You can't have both applied simultaneously - delete the radiation boundary. Select all faces of the vacuum box except for the bottom face, the apply the radiation boundary. Also, your PerfE_patch PEC boundary should NOT have "infinite ground plane" checked.

Also, for future reference, you do not need to attach the .results folder - it will usually be very large, and is not needed to transfer the design. Just the .hfss file is needed.

Good Luck

Thank you very much for your support PlanarMetameterials.
I will implement those changes to it .
