What's the difference of Analog vs Digital with respect to semiconductors with respect to construction, application and circuit itself?

Digital is just analog circuits operating in the extreme modes
(Cut off & Saturation / Cut off & Active ) to provide logic low and high.


CMOS (MOsfets) are used for digital to save power.

What's the difference of Analog vs Digital with respect to semiconductors with respect to construction, application and circuit itself?

There are different design rules for different kinds of circuits, and not just if analog or digital.

For instance - RF in digital circuits we usually want to avoid, but in radio circuits - we want to filter and amplify them.
And of course we can use RF for analog or digital transmissions, and maybe even use same components - sometimes its just a matter of modulation techniques.

One guy answered rightly that e.g transistor is when used as amplifier, it is used in ACTIVE region. when used as a switch it is used in CUT-OFF and SATURATION region. so u might be amplifying a A.C signal in ACTIVE region, and in DIGITAL switch u might be using it in the other two regions.
some circuits are used specially as digital like logic gates, flip-flops and other higher circuits.
