Hi,
I am looking for amplifier 800Mhz - 1000Mhz with analog gain control with output power at least 27 dBm . I found RF2172 and MAX2232. However output power is 24 dBm only.
Thank you in advance

How do you need to control the gain? If you need to adjust it manually, use small SMD potentiometers, 100 Ohms. They are good attenuators for up to 3 GHz. If you need an electronic adjust, find a linear attenuator, VVA; Mini-circuits offers some good devices for a low cost.

Use the attenuator at input of your PA, they cannot survive >20 dBm.

Idea behind it is follow. There is some RFID reader chip with analog output which in turn control gain of the external Power amplifier. Therefore SW can control gain of external PA
