Hello.
The fan inside my generator shattered and destroyed rotor and stator windings. Kaput.
Inspecting the cadaver, there is no brushes at all. None. There is no residual magnetism I could detect in any core. Would rotation of the field iron core inside its iron core stator both exposed to earth magnetism be producing an initial excitation that builds up to workable levels ?
