Dear all,
Altium removes PCB classes by default when we do ECO changes. Is there any way to disable this option permanently?

Thanks & Regards
Udhay

Hi Udhay,

Right click on it and you will find option for disabling it.

Sorry, there is no option to disable permanently in right click option. The disable option will only remove the tick mark. If you create ECO file it will ask to remove the class again...

Anyway i found the solution for this problem. We can disable this option permanently at the below link.
Project > Project option > ECO Generation > Remove component classes (Select, "Ignore difference")
It will show you warning & ignore it...

Hi udhay,

As your snap shot says, once you pick disable selected. It will not compare ECO . the process of comparison will be ignored for that.
After doing ECO ,Once you compare ECO again it will definitely show difference. Those you can ignore. You can also create classes in your schematic. If you do so,there will be no problem with ECO.

Dear SHABU,
Yes i am ignoring the comparison warning message & that's all i want. So it will not remove the classes in the PCB...

But, I am interesting to know to create classes in schematic. Can you guide me to create component classes in schematic....

Thanks in advance...

Regards
Udhay

Hi Udhay,

I just works with the Layout in altium designer. Doesn't know much about the schematics but i have received schematics with classes defined in them.
I ll try to figure out and post the procedure.

Hi Udhay,

In schematics Place- Directives- Net class and pick all the nets you want to add.
There are many more options. Explore and make use of it.

In schematic click on Project--project options---comparator
Look for Extra Component Classes and choose Ignore Diffences
