I'm having an issue trying to move my entire finished pcb board. I can select all and move but it gives me a warning about locked primitives. I click ignore and move the entire board but a lot of traces are deleted to vias, to much work to re-route. Is there any way to move the board around without any issues or make a copy of the board and paste it a new pcb design sheet? I want to move the board because it is to far left and I need to expand the board. I am using Altium Summer 09.
Thanks for the responses. When I unlock the primitives a lot of traces get deleted to vias just as if I were to move the entire board with the primitives locked. The traces that get deleted are different in the two cases so I'm not sure what's going on there. It must be a bug or some rule that I have not yet explored that is causing these issues (maybe). Is there a simple way to unlock all primitives at once? Because I am unlocking them one by one by going to the components properties to unlock the primitives. And once I do that, traces are deleted to vias.
Press L -> show/hide options-> select show all->apply ok. Select the entire board.Right click->BUILD QUERY in that select anything.
In the filter window, you can seleck unlock. After that select the whole board and press M->Move selection and provide the values in the X,Y directions to a distance you need to move. There is no such bug in tool,You can move the whole board in all the altium designer versions
Alternatively, you can leave all the primitives where they are and change the board outline; Design...Redefine board shape (or Define from selected primitives) will accomplish this.
