Hi,
I am trying to analyse the Hodgkin-Huxley model for potential demodulation. Therefore I built the circuitry below. Now the problem is my current source (pulsed sine wave) and/or to find the right analysis.

For a simple current pulse, the circuitry works as it should. But for the pulsed sine I face problems. I need to see the frequency spectrum of voltage1. For this, due to Nyquist, I need a fairly small time step (ADS actually seems to have a default setting of dt=1/(2*8*f_max)). And if I want a good frequency resolution I need a decent simulation time. I tried transient analysis with StopTime = 1sec (frequency resolution = 1Hz) but unfortunately it takes way to long to finish. Even when I'm just working with the unpulsed sine wave, the simulation cannot handle the number of data points coming with a StopTime of just 50msec, which shows in very weird spectra of the input current for example (obtained with fs()). I've also tried HarmonicBalance analysis but it doesn't converge. Does anyone have a better idea? Or do I simply miss something?
