ADS Design Setup For Different Loads

There is no ADS setup for a specific VNA model, just use the S-Parameter template:



You can set the impedance for each port.

So for the attenuator of 20 dB shown the picture, I used the attenuator in the ADS but both the S11 magnitude an dphase weren't corresponding to the measured value results in the documents. The pics are shown below.

this is for the document i am referencing. The ADS setup is as follows


Or do I have to vary the impedances at port 1 and 2? Thank you

Yes, this is expected. Return loss of the simulated attentuator is perfect, the hardware return loss is very good but not perfect.

I actually thought my attenuator had an issue but i plotted the gain and it's showing he 20 dB loss so it's okay.
