Adding a wireless switch to a tiny camera.

So PCB means printed contact board? And taster is the button?

I should rewire the wires on the button i attached? to see if it is that?

And the wires on the board should the be horizontal or vertical?

and i dont have a ohm meter..

As mentioned earlier in post #20, one wire should be connected to pin 3 or pin 4, other wire to pin 1 or pin 2.

In post #19 its right connections (first five pictures). If dont work check second button what you add to these wires, or simply bypass that second button connecting two wires together simulating pressed button.


For picture taster should be pressed once and for video hold taster 2 sec.


Better remove that second button, maybe you wrongly connect that button. Maybe you short two wires on that second button. Leave wires free on end, when you want to simulate pressed button just short two wires together and release for picture or short and hold 2 seconds and release for video.




On this picture, remove second button with four wires (on right side of a picture) :

It worked!!!

But i tried to solder it again and FAILED so hard, i put allot of solder in the pins on the big black box between the button, like all over them and inside.
And when i turned it on, it went crazy vibrated till the battery was dead.. lol

i tried to remove it with some cotton and a needle but nothing seemed to help.

i did the other button just to train, and that went smooth like a sailboat, because it was the first time i soldered that one and it was way easier,i taped the pins of the black box with some normal tape for protection but some of the solder got in it again.
It went trough the tape(duh).

You have any idea how to remove the solder when it is stuck inside, and maybe there is some special duck tape for extra protection when i'm soldering?

For removing soldering material from PCB use soldering wick with flux, and vaccum pump.

I suggest You to get some equipment if You plan to do something in electronics. For start You need nice digital multimeter, soldering station with digital control of temperature (up to 40W), vaccum pump, soldering wick, flux, soldering material, magnifier, good light.

Use old PCB from PC such as video cards, modems, motherboards, memory SDRAM, DDR,...... and practice. Order some disassembled kits,...
