adc spec in 10GbE ethernet

Hi all,
what is the kind of adc (specs) used in 10GbE ethernet chip.and how do you arrive at the specs for adc in 10GbE ethernet applications ?

Wouldn't think so. It's a fully digital interconnection net.

Depends on the media type. Popular 10GBASE-T is using an "analog" 16PAM modulation over the 4 pairs of a Cat 6 cable.
Of course it's using ADCs on the receiver side. See IEEE 802.3-2008_section4, clause 55 for the specification of the standard
and manufacturer information, e.g. from Broadcom for the implementation details.

typically the ADC will be 8-9bits running at 125Meg.
