Since i am interested in the in-phase, i can set the I-channel to 3-bits in the receiver (pg: 20/50). But this table below is confusing, why is the integer value taken as only odd?, what does it represent?

and is 3-bits enough for adaptive beamforming algorithms?
I believe i can increase it to 4-5 bits by oversampling, idk if the adc is sigma-delta, if it is couple more bits but will that be enough for powerful intentional interference suppression?
