My computer cannot control the fan speed at the moment - it is not built into the existing ACPI support on the board. So, I am designing a fan controller to regulate the speed of the CPU fan based on temperature. I am planning on including a number of A/D converters to monitor temperatures as well.

Is it possible to feed this temperature data back to to the computer to be monitored via ACPI as well as send info the controller to change the fan speed using ACPI?
