dspic ac97

The general family of Microchip dsPIC supports AC97 communication. Does this mean we will be able to use AC97 Audio codec's (say from realtek) normally ment for PC's using these?

Any hints, suggestions are welcome.

Thanks and regards,

bimbla.

Reset, Clk Frame Sync, Serial Data IN, Serial Data OUT and Bit CLK are the pins necessary to control the Realtek AC97 CODEC. All these are available on the dsPIC.

Kindly confirm my views.
