if I want to quantize alpha*vin using adc, ( alpha is small and vin is sine signal varies between -1 and 1), but my method is to change the alpha*vin to alpha*vref*vin/vref since i can not quantize alpha*vin directly and alpha*vref could be obtained in circuit level conveniently.

so, what's the relationship between D[alpha*vin] and D[alpha*vref], D[vin/vref]?
suppose vref = 1v, that is to say how can I obtain the D[alpha*vin] from another two digital values D[alpha*vref] and D[vin/vref];

Anyone helps me please.
