about lpt port in epp in dos

Hi to all,

I am looking for read 10 lines in lpt port and read that using EPP i could read the 8 bytes of that.
I found some books that say the address that i need to read but they always read 0xFF, anyone know if there is some enable to do to use this option.

My Pc have this port and i enable this in bios setup, but still don´t work.

There is also enable bit, im not sure but it fifth at base_adres+1
