About Interridgedistance parameter of fingrprint image

Hi,
I have one doubt about interridgedistance parameter that will be used for false minutiae removal in fingerprint images comparison.Here i am using FVC 2000 database.I red in one document that its value is fixed (we can take any value that satisfy all images)(D=6 to 10).I want to know is it fixed ?

yes ganesh we can fix thevalue of inter ridge distance parameter in between 6 to 10. for fvc 2000 database images...
