User “marcin44430” presents his soldering station PE3/99. The boards were made using the thermal transfer method. The soldering iron used is a PENSOL-IRON-N that is good and cheap iron. It fits well in hand. The casing is adapted from a n old central heating controller. . Of course, old paint was cleaned off the device and then it was sprayed matt black. The front and rear panel were made of a 5 mm material consisting of two aluminum sheets with a plastic fabric between them. The rear one was simply painted like the rest of the casing, whereas the front one was lined with ready-made letters, and then all was painted black. After 2 hours, letters were carefully peeled off and after 24 hours all was painted with a colorless matt varnish. This way silver inscriptions in the black background were obtained. The displays are green. The transformer has 100 Watt. Because it was wound to a voltage converter, it possesses 2 x 11V coils.
