hi friends,
can you tell me how Markov process or chain apply in signal processing? Are there any applications of it?
thanks in advance

You can search through IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing
journals

Markov chains find lots of applications in Queuing Theory, for which there are various markov models.

markov chain is useful to analyse tlelphone traffic. The system can be modelled as moving from one state to another, detrermined by number of simultaneous calls. Then analysis can be done using the markov chain theory to find the amount of traffic, blocking probability etc

Markov Chain first introduce by A.A.Markov in 1907
It is a statistical chain that being in each state depend statisticaly in just one previuos state. Pr(Xn|Xn-1,Xn-2,...,X0) = Pr(Xn|Xn-1)
it is very useful for modeling statistical process like Queueing theory and some telephon call or any complex statistic process.
If some one can find a markov model for complex process, the analyziz wil became easy.

Markov chains & processes are important in the understanding of information theory.

Markov chains have many applications in biological modelling, particularly population processes, which are useful in modelling processes that are (at least) analogous to biological populations. The Leslie matrix is one such example, though some of its entries are not probabilities (they may be greater than 1).

A recent application of Markov chains is in geostatistics. That is, Markov chains are used in two to three dimensional stochastic simulations of discrete variables conditional on observed data. Such an application is called "Markov chain geostatistics", similar with kriging geostatistics. The Markov chain geostatistics method is still in development.
