Can anyone helps me with this problem
A scada software runs in a computer. This software speaks with TCP/IP protocol.
On the other side of the link, there is an RTU which speaks with serial port.
So ,we used a serial to Ethernet converter in the link between the computer and RTU.
The problem is that SCADA software does not know the converter, unless we continue pinging the converter in a windows command prompt using ping -t command.
while pinging is continued, scada software works well, but when we stop pinging the converter, scada software does not know the converter anymore.
I can not understand the reason.
