when i try to input ./SETUP.SH in Fedora Core 3
the system always show "Permission Denied",while i logged as ROOT.
why?
Can anyone help me?
Thanks a lot!

I suppose that your cd is aoutomounted by the gui

so

unmount the cd

run a terminal as super user and remount it by hand

now ./SETUP will run (with UBUNTU I had the same problem)

also chek if the SETUP file has the execute premission with the command "ls -s"

wasm

normally it is not recommended to install ic5033 under fedora core...

try RHEL 3.0 or redhat 7.3

did u try to install as user not as root?

Will work only if you will install this from a user acount . You can create the installation directory where you want but you will need to set this with chmod for you can have all right on this director .
Cadence will work well in almost all linux distributions , but you will need to change some things on installation scripts .

@zhoulin999

more feedback ;-)

did you solved your problem?

Thank you all, especially wasm!
You are right. The SETUP.SH doesn`t have the permission to execute.
Now the problem is solved.
Thank you once again!
