how to answer this question?

"A Base band video signal limited to 9MHz is transmitted using USB. The vestigial Bandwidth is
2MHz. The Bandwidth of the USB modulated signal is?"

9 MHZ. if you AM modulate a carrier with a 9 MHZ signal, with DSB (upper and lower side band) B/W = 18 MHZ. With SSB (single sideband) its 9 MHZ. With VSB, one sideband is transmitted fully while the other is reduced in bandwidth. In your question , the USB = 9 MHZ, the LSB (vestigial) = 2 MHZ, so total bandwidth is 11 MHZ (not asked for in your question).
