Hello All,

I'm thinking to work on 8051c 3x3mm MCU. It'll be my first time to design a circuit to program such a small MCU. If anyone has already worked then it'll be great to give me a hand to start a bit easily. The most challenging part is that I want to plug the tiny MCU instead of soldering on a PCB because I have to solder it on another PCB to use.

Thanks,
Meki

I presume you are talking about a specific chip type? Doesn't it support in-circuit programming?

You'll get test sockets for any package, even "chip scale". Unfortunately the'll cost some 100 $.

Quite expensive! 8051c 3x3mm MCU supports in-circuit programming but I am not going to use it. I have deiced to use Freescale QE MCU.
