The best way to charge your batteries using solar panels is to use ''solar charge controlers''their are pwm charge controlers in the market you can get one or you construct it.
When battereies are charged through solar pannels, it is suggested to verify that the pannel is capable of delivering at least 10% of the capacity of the battery. Mean if your batterey is 100ah, the panel is ecpect to be atleast of 10ah for better performance. A solar charge controller is used in between the pannel and the battery. If you choose to charge the battery by solar, disconnecting your regular charger will be the best idea and vice versa.
i am going back to the basic's, if we buy a 100Watts solar panel, this will produce 100watts/sec in bright sunny day? in this case 100Watts X 60 sec x 60 mins?
Wattage is usually calculated per hour. Having a 100 watt pannel, with 12 volts means it is capable of delivering Approx 8 amps of current @12 volts per hour. But naturally it is a means of mesurement, and this will vary from pannels and the light conditions where it is placed...Cheers
