The second link is OK .. you should be able to open it ..

If you still have problems, try first:
**broken link removed**
and then find the robot-project ..

Both robots look very similar and the main difference is the microcontroller ..
You can choose one which you are more familiar with ..

I would probably go for the 89C2051-based robot .. but you can really toss a coin and choose one that way ..

If you are going to start with microcontrollers then sooner or later you will need programmers ..
Have you managed to download files on the 8051-based robot?
If yes, here is a simple programmer for 89C2051 microcontrollers:
