Hello
i wanna convert (48volt 40amps) to (24volt with 10amp)
can anyone help me ?
i don't know how to start and what to search for
i need something simple using PWM from micro controller or something like that
thank you

You can use a buck converter for the purpose

At this current and power level, you should look to use a switching regulator. These usually work as buck converters. You can choose a specialized buck controller and use it as the main controller in your converter. You may use general purpose PWM controllers like SG3525 or UC3842. You may even use a readily available (but rather expensive) regulator with the "switch" built into the device. One such regulator is L4970.

Hope this helps.
Tahmid.

do you want to simulate or use a whole circuit, you can use simulink to simulate your circuit and design the PWM control

can you guys give a circuit to build?
i'm a mechanical engineering student so i'm not very good with electronics
i'm good with PIC and i can make PCBs
thank you
