[SOLVED] 440VAC to 0.3uF capacitor

Hi,
I want calculate current in capacitor.i am using 440VAC.and I am using Xc=1/2*pi*f*c and I = 440V/Xc is this correct????

Yes.
This will give you Irms, since the 440v is obviously Vrms. Of course your 'f' needs to be 50 or 60hz, depending on where you are.

You must use the correct units. c is in Farads so for 0.3uF c=0.0000003

Your formula implies a half of pi*f*c.
Xc=1/(2*pi*f*c) is correct.
