Hi, Gurus,
I want to calculate the total power simple as following:
A wide signal in spectrum, bandwidth is 3500MHz. The max peak power is +16dBm, the min peak is +12dBm, and the average power is about +14dBm.
The spectrum is setting to RBW=8MHz, and VBW=50MHz.
So I simply calculate the total power: +14dBm+10log(3500/8)=+40.4dBm, right or not?
Best,
Tony Liu

Spectrum analyzer gives no true power measurement. But assuming 14 dBm is a suitable estimation for 8 MHz band power, the calculation is correct.
