No SMB/SMC SiC diodes of 600V+

Hi,
We are doing a Buck with LNK3209 of 100-265 to 24Vout at 17W.
We wish to use SiC buck diode but all are DPAK at least.
Why no SMC/SMB in SiC?
..Well, the odd one or two, but they arent in stock, and you wouldnt want to spec a part that was " the only one".

Silicon carbide diodes can only demonstrate their efficiency advantages in high-power situations. In such low-power situations, it is almost impossible to see where they are good. Moreover, due to their high price, no one is willing to use them in low-power situations, and manufacturers do not have the need to make low-power silicon carbide. There are currently 252 packaged products available for selection, and I hope they can help you.

Diode current of the high voltage buck isn't particularly low. Powerint suggests UF400x diode, question is if SiC offers advantage for the application. If so, you are stuck with available packages.

I think I'd be heading back to the original care-abouts
to see whether something non-SiC could do the job.

put a couple of good 400V Si ones in series - with small RC snubbers ....

there are plenty of good Si 600V parts to choose from also - designed for PFc stages
