Two kinds of connectors...

Hello.

An internal slot in my laptop named PCI / mSATA has a two-section edge connector, like for the left image; am supposed to be able to plug a SSD in there.
I see also a 3-section edge connectors in SSDs. What differs and what are their names ?

Above shown mSATA (top) is wider than M2 (bottom).
