Hello everybody,

I am working with a device which provides a OpenLVDS output and I need to connect it to one TFT display screen with LVDS input. So my question is: OpenLVDS and LVDS are electrically fully compatible? Or should I place a termination resistor in the bus?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

Enrique Perez

Open LVDS uses LVDS physical layer. In so far electrical compatibility isn't the question. You have to check if the display is compatible on the protocol layer.

Hi!! thanks a lot for the answer. The dispplay datasheet has the following characteristics:

and I think that the key to check if the display is compatible with OpenLVDS is the data input format (last screenshot)
