Hi,
Seen a Boost PFC (Switching frequency = 100kHz) from a customer. Uses a SiC Boost diode (DP06S60).
VAC input = 110-265VAC, Vout = 400V
It had two parallel FETs each driven by a totem pole as in the attached. Would you agree that this totem pole needs a series resistor to reduce shoot-through current?
Also, would you agree that 2N2222 and 2N2907 are “general purpose” BJT’s, and very unsuitable for the fast switching (and high hfe at high Ic) needed for SMPS gate driver use?
