Pulse transformer datasheet shoudl give maximum V.t product

Hi,

This just means the transformer is designed for "at least" (minimum) the rated Vxt.

But for the controller this means it is the maximum limit.

It's just the point of view, that differs.

thanks, it really limits us, because our gate drive voltage is 10v, so we are only allowed up to 2us of ON time.

Consider that the transformer isn't well suited for your application. Did you notice that the datasheet doesn't specify isolation working voltage?

Without further specifications, 1000V is test voltage. Working voltage is much lower.
