Hi all!
Substrate file from ADS contains many information about layers and stuck up, i didn't understand what BAL_NUM="4" refers to? could anyone help me?

I'm not the only one to read & write directly on the ADS substrate layer files?

The BAL_NUM layer defines the "bounding area layer" used for FEM simulation.

Can i get information about port position on substrate file? or on . map or .gds file?

EM pins/ports are not found in any of these files, and not exported to layout export formats. You need to use AEL scripting from within ADS and query the layout view (database).
