I just emailed the serial no and date code off to the individual with the list, asking him to check it for us.

I let you know, when I get a response back.

hi,
did you try replacing with the new oscillator. I faced problem once with a batch of oscillators not working

you can replace the crystal of the prototype board and put it on the non working board or put the crystal of non working board and test it in the prototype board which is working...

I will go though even and rivet back to you

Hi,

I still have not heard back from the individual with the list of known defective LPCs. However, I did compare the numbers you posted, two of mbeds I have with known RTC problems and they do not match. Unfortunately, this does not mean you do not have a problem part. I'll send another email to the person with the list and see if I get a response. I only know he through email correspondence and I do not know how often he checks his email. I will also try and get it touch with another individual who is familiar with the problem.

I just noticed the defective LPCs on my mbeds are both first revision:

The LPC Errata states:

Functional problems
Short description Revision identifier Detailed description
RTC.1 The Real Time Clock (RTC) does not work reliably
within the temperature specification.
revision effected ‘-’ initial revision only

So your LPCs most likely all have the defect. One of my defective LPCs was manufactured 1041- which is only three weeks before yours.

Sorry for the bad news.
