While going through the datasheets of various BJTs, I found that in a majority of them the collector-base breakdown voltage is higher that the collector-emitter breakdown voltage.....
1. What is the use of a base-emitter resistor in a BJT?
2. Why is the collector-base breakdown voltage higher than the collector-emitter voltage (with base open)
3. With the use of a base-emitter resistor, does the collector-emitter breakdown voltage increase to the level of collector-base breakdown voltage? (since the base is no more open now)
Thanks
