2N2222A NPN transistor as Current amplifier

Hi All,

I'm using 0.9V to 5V DC DC booster module with Female USB module as output, now when I'm connecting +ive(5V) of USB module with base of 2N2222A NPN transistor via 500 ohm resistor & -ive to emitter, also +ive of Load with collector of transistor & -ive of Load to emitter of transistor & trying to use transistor as current amplifier but I'm not getting any output while checking with multimeter,
Kindly suggest if there is any changes in connection required, to make transistor works as a current booster.

It's hard to picture your setup. It sounds as though you hooked up the load directly in parallel with the transistor C & E.

Is this in a boost converter? Then you probably need to install a diode somewhere.
Or, your load can have a diode element: example, bright white led.

Transistor "amplification" requires a source of current that the transistor will control, efficiently.

As described the setup seems to have no such resource, load across two (c, e) terminals and both depending by forward diodes from 5V. So roughly equipotential, no useful difference voltage and no current path.

Seems you were expecting something more magical. But a key principle of power electronics (as of much in life) is, "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch".

Perhaps the process of describing goals and materials to hand, with schematic (the language of this art) will help you with understanding the parts you're scrambling into this nonfunctional omelette.

Meanwhile guesses are as good as you'll get.
