Hey guys,

Is it possible that I burned my STM32 chip when I did drag soldering on it ?
it's about 20 seconds with 420 degree celcius ....

The debugger can not detect my chip.....

Any ideas ?
thanks

I think 420 C for 20 sec is too much

Drag soldering doesn't take more than a few seconds per side, then you can pause so that the chip cools down and proceed with the next side.
Your temperature is also on the high side.

This is high amount of heat, better decrease temp to 200C and soldering time. I dont see need for 20sec soldering, time can be shorter.

With 420C during 20sec you probably kill uC.

Best regards,
Peter

or because of I haven't put VDDA and VREF ?

I tried with flash loader from ST, boot0=1 and boot1=0, it said can not detect any uC, probably my uC is death already, don't you think so guys ?

is there any way to test if the chip is failure ?
thanks

the error I got :

I'm not sure the temperature I was using, only guessing on 420 and not 20 seconds long....I tried again on doing it, it's about 3 to 4 seconds....
there's no temperature sensor on my solder....only guessing it's 420, since it's 60 watt, probably the uC still alive but something wrong,
any ways to check it ? thanks

I supose soldering iron heater is direct on mains voltage without transformer.

Look to get decent soldering station with temperature regulation 40W is enough. Its cheap today, see ZD-931 or similar 30-40eur.

If uC is damaged, before new resoldering will not give some results, you need second healthy uC.

Best regards,
Peter

Thank you guys, it's working now...I tested for the code....no problem
