mc3357p mhz

Hi,

Some more info,
Rx
L1=L2=L3=113CN2K509ADZ T/o/k/o 7mm Sheilded, P=8t, S=2t
L3 & L4 = 3rd IF Detector, Black, LLC4828 or similar
Tx
Shieded coil is as above
S18 is T/o/k/o moulded coil 0.39µH
Toroids are T37-12 M/i/c/r/o/m/e/t/a/l/s
turns are as shown on image

Hi Hadihf,

Thanks for this nice project! :)
Just one more question: MC3357P is obsolete now, and can be hardly found. Do You know a replacement part for it. Or anyone?
Thanks,
probert

Happy New Year for All!

These chips are similar and almost exact replacements with higher frequency range..

MC3361 ~60 MHz
MC3371 ~100MHz
MC3372 ~100MHz

Good Luck :D

hi,
is there any replecement for MC3357p it's not easy to find in indonesia
any same part from other manufactureer that avlaible in indonesia

Where can I buy the joysticks?

ASIC

Hi,
At that time I scraped these from an old 4ch f/u/t/a/b/a radio.

OK

Now, for the schematic. I have a couple of questions.

RX:
==

What's the wire thickness for L3, L4, L5?

Decoder:
======

What are typical resistor values for the joysticks and R5, R6, R7, R8, C6, C7, C8, C9?

Hi,
for winding the toroids use 28 swg insulated wire

if Pots are 5k then C6~9 = 2.2µF tantalum and R5~8 = 150
if Pots are 100k then C6~9 = 20nF and R5~8 = 100k

with tatalums + goes to IC 4017

hope this helps

Regards

Hi,

for rx coils use Toko 7k coils. These have slots for wires...I think 38 swg will do. for 455 coils use pre wound as wire is very very thin

If anybody needs Rx coils, or any other hard to find parts, PM and may be I can help. :D
