Hello All,

I am trying to generate fabrication drawing in .art format in allegro 16.3. I have used a Dsize fab symbol in Class Drawing format -> subclass outline. Also added assembly notes and layer stackup information in Class Drawing format(outline, title block).
When i try to generate the .art file, only the NC drill is transferring in artwork file. I am unable to see the drill legend, outline and assembly notes. (I have chosen the appropriate subclasses in drawing format in visibility window and have also updated the DRC)

Please help me to generate the complete fabrication file in .art format.

Thanks in advance,
Satanam

Hello Satanam,

First go to artwork, film control, fab layer then right click on any subclass under fab layer, you will get add option and in that enable which all you want to display in fab then click on ok.

hope it helps you

Also place NC legend from Artwork tab without that you will not see drill table and drill symbols in PCB

Thanks for the inputs!

I had already placed the NC legend from artwork and had selected the required subclasses under the fab layer, but unfortunately when i hit "create artwork" buttom, all I get in the .art file is the drill symbols. I still don't get the drill legend table, fab notes and the outline.
Please help.

Thanks in advance.
Satanam

when you are generating artwork film.
please have a look whether you have given some value in undefined line width column in the film options.
if no give some value.ex-5,8...i think this would help you.

Have you drawn "photoplot line"/
it is drawn in manufacturing class.
if you have drawn check for the dimensionsin artwork in "film size limit".

One more thing have you addede these layers in your artwork file for fab drawing?

Hello Shabu,
Thanks for the response. I had given value to undefined line width.

Hello Ricky,
Thanks for the response. I had added photoplot line and also added required layers to fab drawing. I have also increased the "film size limit", but still I am unable to see the drill legend, fab notes and fab outline.

Please suggest further.

Thanks,
Satanam

can you paste a snap shot of your drill drawing layer or upload your brd file so that we could have a better look at it to suggest you something

Hi satanam,

The drill legend is genertaed in the class Manufacture --> sublclass please see the image.

Also add the these class & subclass in the .art file mergeing.

try it.
