can you any one help me how to write script for seleting paricular cell in soc encounter...
 

Below command will select all the cells starting with name BUF. Instead of BUF* you can give any cell name.

dbSelectObj [dbGet -p2 top.insts.cell.name BUF*].name

I am not able to get your question. Please elaborate!
I have attached a document to start with. This is a generic document. It is better to see some old scripts and try to modify them. Encounter write out a command log file. It store all command you ran in encounter. Run command from GUI and check the textual command in the cmd.log file written out by tool.
