Hello

I need your help to convert 220v 50hz to 115v 400hz. Its for an aviation project. I really need some advices abt how to reach 400hz from 50hz. I searched for frequency converters but couldnt find any circuit schematic. I need build it my own. PLease help me

Regards

Hi,
There could be a better solution, but you could try this.
First convert the 220v AC to DC by means of a bridge rectifier. Filter this. Then have a power stage with 4 MOSFETs/IGBTs driven by a control section that produces 2 outputs of 400Hz that drives the MOSFETs/IGBTs using hi-lo side drivers. Adjust the duty cycle as required to get 115v and then filter the output.

Hope this helps.
Tahmid.

Hi there,

Thx for ur advice. But pls let me ask few questions. I understood the way till changing frequency. What u mean exactly with "a power stage with 4 MOSFETs/IGBTs driven by a control section". My education is mostly orriented with aviation so I have less knowladge about electrnoic. Could you please help me ? How can i find the prober schematic to my project ?

Regards
